COVID-19 Posted on March 14, 2020March 23, 2020 Riverbend is closely monitoring the COVID-19, aka coronavirus, as the situation continues to rapidly evolve. The health and safety of clients, staff, and visitors is of the utmost importance to us and we are taking proactive steps to stop the spread of COVID-19. We are working alongside Concord Hospital by attending their Incident Command meetings which is leading and managing the Hospital’s COVID-19 response and preparedness measures. We have put in place a parallel Incident Command at Riverbend and following the measures the Hospital has put in place to ensure we continue to provide care as safely as possible. To date we are: Increasing the frequency of cleaning of our facilities and utilizing specialized cleaning products; Regularly reviewing our visitation guidelines; Screening clients prior to appointments as well as at all our clinical sites; Asking clients to wear masks if they are showing positive symptoms; Asking staff to stay home if they are ill; Cancelling all non-essential business travel; Cancelling or postponing events and activities where large groups are likely to gather. Riverbend is prepared to do our part to reduce the spread of this disease and we ask that you too work to protect yourself and our community. Frequent and thorough handwashing with soap and warm water for a minimum of 20 seconds is fundamental in preventing the spread of illnesses. In the absence of soap and water, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Forgo handshakes when greeting people. Reconsider attending gatherings with a large number of people. Most of all, we ask that you remain calm and know that the entire health system is working to respond and keep all of us safe.
