I made my kids so proud!

Riverbend saved my life! I really needed to get out of the fast food rut I was in. I worked hard at that job —I always work hard — but I wasn’t appreciated by anyone there. I felt invisible. It wasn’t a good place for me and I got really down on myself.

Then Kayla [at Employment Services] helped me put together a resume and get a new job at TJMaxx that I really love!

My coworkers are great, and I feel respected and appreciated by my boss. My boss has told me that I have a great work ethic, and I’ve surprised him more than once with how much I can get done in one shift. I’ve felt so much better since I got this new job. There are a lot of good things happening for me now, and my new job is definitely a part of what’s good!   I know I made my kids so proud. I have a better relationship with them now because I’m happier with myself!
